Surf & Sun 2007
We took the whole family to the Big Island of Hawaii this summer! Here are some things we learned:
--Sea urchins can leave slivers.
--Jelly fish stings can feel like slivers.
--The days are backwards-early morning is hot and sunny then afternoon is cloudy and cooler.
--Green geckos are cool, they chirp and they are everywhere!
--Turtles are called Honu-and they are much bigger when you are floating above them than they look like from land.
--"Mahalo" means Thank You.
--Turkeys do not say "gobble gobble".
--Hawaiian's love their vowels.
--Bubba Gumps serves yummy food, be ready to answer movie trivia.
I will post a few pictures of our stay-as soon as I can. Mahalo!

Spring Fling '07
"Spring Fling", the annual teardrop trailer campout, officially opened the camping season for many in the Northwest. Fifty (yes 5-0) trailers attended all or part of the Memorial Weekend event. We even managed to drag in a small family from the Packwood Swap Meet! Rod & Trudy hosted a wonderful event as always. I have included photos from many of my memorable moments. Potlucks, dutch oven delights, Cow Chips (the BAND), "tech talk", hours by the campfire, trailer tours, swiming in the Tilton, greeting cards for our troops in Iraq, and lots of great friends highlighted the weekend. To all the TOW members, please let me know if you would like copies of some of my photos. Thanks again to Rod & Trudy, I look forward to the 10th Spring Fling next year (our 5th)!
